About TempConvert

TempConvert is a small, free website for converting temperatures quickly and understanding the maths behind them.

Maintainer and corrections

TempConvert is maintained by Muhammad Asim. To report an incorrect calculation, chart value or accessibility issue, email mnk8639@gmail.com.

Include the page address, input value and units so the issue can be reproduced and checked against the formulas below.

What you will find here

Each page focuses on one real task: converting Celsius to Fahrenheit or back again, setting an oven from a foreign recipe, printing a chart, practising for a test, working with Kelvin in science, or putting the formula into a spreadsheet or program.

How the numbers are calculated

Every converter and chart uses the exact formulas — °F = °C × 9/5 + 32, °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9, K = °C + 273.15 and °R = °F + 459.67 — and rounds results to two decimal places. Oven charts deliberately round to the nearest 10 °C or 25 °F because that is how oven dials are marked; those pages say so.

The displayed result and worked steps are rounded to at most two decimal places, with trailing zeros omitted. For example, 72 °F is displayed as 22.22 °C. Intermediate calculations and unit swaps use unrounded values, subject to normal browser floating-point limits. Oven dial suggestions are separate approximations.

Privacy-friendly by design

The converters run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to a server. The site loads no external fonts, scripts or images. See the privacy policy for details.
